I have also had all my AT&T service go out (voice & data) at some point in early/mid December for a couple hours. That was a more localized area in midtown Manhattan, where there are probably only about 10 million people on a weekday afternoon.

I'm OK with my AT&T service, but all the people saying "this never happens to my iPhone" are full of it.

PSM

Comments on Blackberry outage shows that RIM learned nothing in 2007

Nope, not on the east cost and if they did, guess who were affected AGAIN. I was up and running the whole time with VZW in Minneapolis, and a friend of mine was also up and running the whole time with TMO in Lawrence, KS. Overall, the RIM BlackBerry network is still the most secure and reliable means of mobile email and data. Need I remind the iPhone fanboys here that ATT has had a fair number of EDGE outages since the iPhone came out 8 months ago.

aviationwiz

Comments on Blackberry outage shows that RIM learned nothing in 2007

Stop sucking up to apple loser.

lefty

Comments on Blackberry outage shows that RIM learned nothing in 2007

The thing about it is this. I have both an iPhone and Curve. George has nothing better to do because his iPhone can not be expanded past what it came with. He's bored. I used the iPhone for months and loved it. But took the opportunity to use an upgrade and try out a BlackbBerry. I figured why not. I still have my iPhone. After using the Curve for a week I found that I was making more money as a salesman. Plus I had a ton of programs I could mess with. GPS is great. And with an 8gb memory card I have as much music on my phone as my 13 year old friend here on the board. I personally have not needed to pick up my iPhone since the switch.
This is not a shot at the iPhone, I love it and am waiting for Apple to get their crap together. But seriously George, your comments didn't even come across as fun & competitive. Sorry to say it, but kind of young and ignorant.

J Doss
