HP iPAQ 610 series soldiers on outside US
So apparently HP just has a very special form of hatred for its native soil, because that iPAQ 610 series with that nifty touch sensitive scroll wheel embedded in the keypad now appears to be canceled only in the US. This bittersweet news comes courtesy of British retailer Devicewire, which reports that it'll have examples of the iPAQ 614 available to its customers as soon as next Monday for the princely sum of £389.99 (about $765). That's fine, though, HP, whatever. We didn't want your stupid iPAQ anyway.

ummmm.....I did
I want this too. If you look at the specs, it's one of the only devices with a no-compromise set of features. How does a British retailer know what HP will or won't be selling? THey weren't even in the plans to sell the 610 anyway but the UK version 614. Smell a rat
The new Moto ROKR E8 has a very similar touchwheel idea. Might be a patent problem.
Doesn't this have something to do with the whole Qualcomm banning thing?
Is there some Qualcomm chip in this thing? I thought it was Marvell? All I know is that Broadcom is putting the screws to people with their patents.
How the bloody hell do you navigate up/down/left/right in good old WinMo?
there are two ways:
1) you use the jog dial, on the side of the device
2) you use the keyboard as jog dial, in two ways: u can make circular movements, like ipod or the new nokias, or u can make straight movements (if you make a movement, from "5" to "2", it will be the same as pressing up. it's quite easy to use.
