Legal issues, chipset problems holding up AT&T's MediaFLO launch?

"As early as possible" in 2008 is getting less "early" by the minute, and details are starting to emerge on all the juicy drama going on behind the scenes at AT&T where the powers that be have been unable so far to get their long-overdue MediaFLO-based mobile TV network launched. Apparently, both LG and Samsung were rearing to show their launch devices (Samsung's Access is pictured here) at CES last month, and both were asked to pull 'em at the very last minute as it became apparent that AT&T wasn't ready to rock and roll, leaving LG with a rather awkward situation on its hands as some folks caught the Vu doing... well, absolutely nothing in the company's booth. Rumor has it that unspecified legal troubles and flaky mobile TV chipsets are both to blame, with delays hovering somewhere in the two to eight week range. Here's our simple question: if the network already exists (and it does, because Verizon's been using it for a year now), what the heck is so hard here?

I find this funny they tell all about how Motorola's both sucked but yet they just give out exuces for LG ..lol this is funny that they told all about how Motorola didn't have much at there both but when LG has nothing at there both oh well now that is just because ..lol YA Right ether they are paid by LG some way or another or they Love LG so much that they just don't want to put them down but don't give a care about Motorola
lol i dunno why they would show love for LG when all they release for at&t is crap low end phones while they save all the stylish handsets for verizon.
but then again... i'm just bitter because i'm still waiting for a good text handset from at&t that doesn't look like a big brick. *hint hint LG* =D (pantech duo doesn't count... too many probs with it.)
This has nothing to do with the manufacture of the phone itself but the chipset inside. This is not LG's problem. Motorola still sucks btw.
So LG's own both is out of there own hands control ..lol you mean they don't have control of there own both ..lol because if they had control of there own both there both for sucking would be there problem ..lol
Thats why when T-Mobile finally Launches their 3G Network Soon, its going to have Mobile 3G Television right out of the Gate right away when they Flip the 3G Switch on. ANd I think thats Worth the Wait, Dont you?
