I completely agree that it's not the best name for this phone, but it definitely makes sense. What else could they have named it that related more to the design itself? The Touch? Taken. The Croix? Chances are that UI won't be there. The Black[insert rest of name here]? RIM sues people for names like that. Face it, the "Glyde" is the best they could do with what was still available as far as I'm concerned.
