Yep, that is true, Qwest will keep their customer accounts for just billing in a bundle for Verizon as they do it for DirecTV. There will be no more Qwest phones, they will be all replaced with Verizon models because although they are CDMA technology, they are still locked with Qwest lock codes and OTA programming can not be performed (over the air).
It is pity but it is true, Qwest Wireless will not exist after Feb 2009.
