Dude, that's awesome. Same here. As for the paid upgrades, I hate that, but I will pay it anyway... AT&T was the first cell phone company in business, I believe, so I don't understand why all of you hate AT&T. I've never had any problem with them, and I don't really like T-Mobile, Verizon, or Sprint/Nextel, and I don't really have an opinion on Alltel. If AT&T is so bad, why is it the largest company with a large customer base? Anyway...

http://www.att.com/
http://www.apple.com/
http://www.memory-alpha.org/

Get a Mac, or face the Wrath of Khan. Yes, I'm a Trekkie. And a Mac fanboy. You got a problem with that? It's not like I am forcing you to watch TNG:"Encounter at Farpoint" over and over and over again. Or TOS:"Gamesters of Triskelion" ... But I digress.

Pie.-or-is-it-Pi?

Pie.-or-is-it-Pi?

Comments on Contact search in iPhone firmware 2.0?

Well, ok, I hope this version will have SMS delivery reports.
I don't my iPhone anymore it lacks this function and also call logs, I want to know how many minutes I called Out...
I still use my Nokia 3650 which is perfect !

rolivier

Comments on Contact search in iPhone firmware 2.0?

Yay search! I had a Nokia brick phone 7 years ago that could search my contacts list. Lots of users paid $600.00 for a eyephone, and now they realize they will not even be able to have a background app running while making a phone call (unless it's accessed within Safari). What is worse than being stuck with AT&T? Being stuck with a phone that can't use third party apps unless steve-o says so. I own a 17" mac Pro, so I don't consider myself a hater, just a realist..

frankpreyes

Comments on Contact search in iPhone firmware 2.0?

I think it was a tongue-in-cheek joke: like a search function, MMS is a no brainer too.

Jason Covert

Comments on Contact search in iPhone firmware 2.0?

I would bet the search will only function on Corporate Address Books - since it is unlikely the iPhone will have the ability to download / sync against a corp. book (separate from an individual user's address book) via ActiveSync/Exchange.

So how much do you think the iPhone 2.0 update will cost? $20? $50?

Brad

Comments on Contact search in iPhone firmware 2.0?

Uhhhhh........ Given Apple's current stock price, I wouldn't be surprised if they elected to make this a pay upgrade.
