Now, we know the official story on the CeBIT
Meizu shutdown was related to
MP3 codec licensing, and not the
M8's
iPhone-like UI. Still, it does seem strangely fortuitous that
more pictures of the phone's interface have just appeared that seem to showcase a move away from Apple's familiar look. The Chinese site CNMO has new shots of the device's music player, which now appears to incorporate song info, EQ display, lyrics, and volume / tracking controls all on one screen. The pictures also show a couple of different music browsing options, both in landscape and portrait mode. Is this a signal that the company is putting some distance between the M8 and the iPhone? Only time will tell.

dammit erick! i got rick rolled. :P
Coming next from Meizu: "Duke Nukem Forever"
lol....u were my first ever victim
i know this is just a knock off but i kinda like it, too bad the UI will prob be slow. Apple did a great job with iphone im just waiting for someone to step up to the plate and make a better touch screen device with a great MP3 player like Iphone/ Touch. The browser, music player and large screen are the selling points other than that i wouldnt pay attention.
i think the changes in the UI are actually nice. im glad theyre distancing themselves a little. it leaves room for possible innovation. personally i think the music player ui looks cool. i wouldnt mind having a m8. i might consider it if we can get a final product in action before iphone 3.0 is out. lol.
After Prada from LG this is one the finest phone that i like, designed much better then iphone!!
looks to me to be a mix between apple's ipod touch/iphone ui and the windows media center ui
oh also i wish that they would remove that ugy M logo on the bottom it detracts from the whole phone
