As much as I love my iPhone, I really cant wait to go back to a Sony or Samsung that has all the benefits of the iPhone but actually has features (like useful Bluetooth, mms and so on) that phones have had for years! I just get the feeling that This, is not the phone that will sway me back!

devastate

Comments on Video: Samsung Instinct UI walkthrough

so what exactly does the iphone do that this doesn't? the web browser is the thing i like most on the iphone, and its obvious its better than the one on this phone... but thats all i can tell at least "on paper".

OziD

Comments on Video: Samsung Instinct UI walkthrough

"so what exactly does the iphone do that this doesn't?"

umm... multitouch? and all the programming possibilities that come with it?

TareX

Comments on Video: Samsung Instinct UI walkthrough

@devastate

"I really cant wait to go back to a Sony or Samsung that has all the benefits of the iPhone but actually has features"

That statements definitely makes you sound like a Troll. I can't imagine anyone wishing to go back to a Sony or Samsung phone after having an iPhone, even with it's few missing features. Besides, with the SDK out, the iPhone is going to become the primary app development platform. I would imagine either Apple or a 3rd party finished the feature set with MMS, Other bluetooth profiles, etc.

@OziD
What does the Iphone "do" that other phones don't? Based on that comment, It's obvious you are looking for a featureset instead of an intuitive, integrated system that is so nice to work with.
Barring the incredible usability of the iPhone, and the quasi-useful multitouch which may have more applications in the future, the real advantage will be the platform. With the release of the SDK, mobile OSX will become a force to be reckoned with. I would guess by the end of 2008, it's easily the most dominant mobile software platform, with software that actually works well and is useful. This would be in direct comparison to the steaming pile of crap that is windows mobile, and the useful, but on life support Palm OS Garnet.

Sam Winter

Comments on Video: Samsung Instinct UI walkthrough

Meh. You are either in the employ of Apple, have some other vested interest in iPhone sales, or are a fascist who believes opinions can be right or wrong and attempts to impose their will on others.

troyob1
