Ivyskin's Xylo T2 case engulfs your iPhone, doesn't inhibit touchscreen use
This one's been available for a tick, but ivyskin's brilliant new iPhone case is just too marvelous to ignore. The Xylo Touch-Thru (T2) claims to be the first case to put a hard shell atop the iPhone's touch panel which can remain in place as you check your email, respond to a SMS or dial up the local pizza joint. By utilizing Surface Xylo Wave technology, ultrasonic waves are able to permeate through to the display without interference, allowing users to simultaneously keep their precious panel protected 'round the clock while not inhibiting their ability to touch and feel. Not a bad investment for $34.99, eh?

Looks like a nice case, but the site's down. I found a guest review on IpodObserver.com and he has some less than positive observations of it:
I received mine today. It does work okay, although not as smooth a glide as the screen itself but:
-It feels cheap and looks a little bulky in comparison to the incase slider
-Air bubbles between the phone and front of case appear when you touch the screen
-Unsure of possible friction damage would appear as per the slider, but its not a tight fit
I wouldn't recommend this because of the air bubbles and the search for the perfect iPhone case continues...

why i hate touch screens...
"ultrasonic waves are able to permeate through to the display without interference, allowing users to simultaneously keep their precious panel protected 'round the clock while not inhibiting their ability to touch and feel."
Talk about NONSENSE! LOL. The Iphone screen is CAPACITIVE! It requires conductive fingertip skin or a special stylus to work. How would ultrasonic pressure waves activate the touch screen?
My iPod Touch's Griffin Elan Form case is quite nice. Leather outside of a hard plastic shell with a full (static cling) screen protector.
This one seems a bit awkward to me.
Is that case being held by some goth high schooler? What's with the horrifically black nails?
that's strange - down on their site they said
"The touch screen panel is coated with a special patent pending material that conducts a continuous electrical current across the the shield. The human body is also an electrical device which has stored electrons and therefore also exhibits capacitance."
Beautiful Hands!!!!
her nails are chipped
That looks pretty cool... I will have to check it out. I am still pretty partial to my Noreve iPhone case. The leather is nice and makes me feel more secure about carrying it around. For $35 this might be worth a try....
ok guys i just got my touch cover from Ivy it's ok it's the best fitting hard cover i've tried so far no bubble ( Bob's smokn crack ) looks kool so whats the problem get a life it's ok. Now the real issue is this : US based company & they say it many, many times but the item is made in P R C ( aka Peoples Republic of China ) typed on the box c'mon we're not dumb CHINA ! so they need to either build the cover here or stop the USA ALL THE WAY sh@t !
what must I do for to avoid air bubbles in the screen?
I also have the case and yes, it does work as advertised with the touch screen, in fact I would even say the touch screen is actually more responsive.
The air bubble issue was a problem for me as well, but I found a strange solution. If you rub the screen against your face to get some of the oils from your skin onto the phone before placing it in the case this will eliminate the bubbles. The only negative I have found with this solution is when the phone is off, the screen will look cloudy, more of an aesthetic problem really.
