Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
Nice eye evilpaul. Let's see some 3G love from Nokia on this one. I'm gonna be honest here. It doesn't look very wide at all. In fact, if the supposed dimensions of this are correct, its narrower than a Blackjack II. I don't know about the rest of you, but i'm not down with that at all. I liked the fact that the E61i's keyboard was so spacious.
Huh? That's the first thing I noticed. The SE logo.
I currently have both an E61i and a BlackJack II. Although I definitely prefer the E61i keyboard, the BlackJack isn't as bad as it seems. My only complaint with it is OS-driven and it's the lack of keyboard shortcuts for foreign characters and for quickly scrolling through pages (vertically) or words (horizontally), which is all available in the E61i.
What does concern me about making the E71 narrower than the E61i is not so much keyboard size as it is screen size. The 2.8" screen is one of my favorite features of the Nokia.
That being said, if I had the choice of E61i-size or BJ-size keyboard on the E71, I'd definitely go the wider way. Wider is better, said Pontiac.
