I still dont understand why blackberry users like myself need 3G. Last I heard the new ROM coming out for that phone still uses a crappy browser. Is it really necessary to get your emails pushed faster?

It is not about getting the email faster. 3G allows for both data and voice access at the same time.
That means push emails while on the phone (important if you are handling a call/email at the same time) and interruptible tethering.
While the latter is not as important, I cannot tell you how amazing it is when I am on an hour or two call on the road and can still get my emails.
It is like getting a BB for the first time, you lived without it, however were never able to figure out how.
