The Android site has plenty of info regarding what it is and what it does, including video demonstrations. For example, it seems to me that with any of those OSes, for example PalmOS, I already have compatibility for software regardless of which (Palm) device I'm using.

Android isn't tied to a specific /vendor/ (unless you count Google, who isn't evil...yet), but each manufacturer must still test and sell their device with Android -- or each user must hack it -- right?

I guess I feel like without widespread adoption and a lot of interoperability with other systems (Outlook, etc), it's not worth much. And I have major concerns about the widespread adoption of this platform in anything less than 5 years. Much, much longer, if it goes anything like Linux on PCs... :-)]]>Apr 29th 2008 4:56PM
