The percentage of returned gadgets that have nothing wrong with them.
Of the $13.8 billion worth of returned products in 2007, only 5 percent were because gadgets were actually broken, according to a 2008 study.

Anyword on pricing yet?
Its About Time...I was starting to believe they were pumpin sunshine up our asses
Why was EDGE put as a tag on this? Nobody in the real cellular world (GSM) wants to be associated with this crap.
Yeah, my bad, meant to tag it with EV-DO, thanks.
Chris
249.99* After 50$ MIR.
It will come with a $50 mail-in rebate? Or are you considering this to be the New Every 2 rebate?
there is usually a $50 online discount, plus there was a manufacturers rebate form a while ago for $50, these might be the same thing however, which means it should be an extra $50 off either way.
Anyone know the OS on this one?
Looks like crap. I'll stick with my Voyager.
WHat about the CUrve?????
Pretty much the same OS as the Voyager, but with some influence from the Croix OS from the F700. It also has the same browser as the F700.
Was able to order the glyde this afternoon via *611. Total cost will be $149 with NE2 discount and $50 mail in rebate. Free 2 day shipping via fedex
Jason are you sure that is correct? I just called Verizon via *611 and they said I couldn't yet preorder the phone. The person I talked to didn't even know when it would be released for sure (I guess they didn't get the memo of May 9th) let alone a price on it.
lol. imagine he gets a gleam. haha.
will this phone have v cast tv? because i am about to get a new phone but i dont know which one i should get. the lg voyager or this phone.
It does NOT have the Mobile TV service, but in my opinion this phone is much better than the Voyager simply because the touch screen is more responsive. That and still having access to the touch screen with the keyboard exposed is a nice plus.
this phone will not have vcast t.v., and plenty of people have been able to order it so far, you just have to try a few time to get a telesales rep willing to sell it.
I mentioned this release date on the 29th on the 'Trio of LGs' article. What, am I not a reliable source? =P
JASON IS NOT LYING. I got mine at 8:30 this morning. I ordered mine with the $14 next day. It is $149 after mail in rebate.
It is smaller than I thought... charging now... looks REAL nice.
*611... and be patient... she found it when looking up u940
Todd,
Can I use 3rd party apps on it? Like download Google Mobile apps and as such?
I called them right now and they said that it was not officially in their system and they could not order it yet, they did say that it had a 50 rebate and thats all they knew and would call me when it was available.
False. You just have to get a rep in a call center that has them in stock, and they have to be willing to order it for you. There have been A LOT of people that have been able to order, over at HoFo.
I just called *611 also and they said that the phone is not available in their system. Anyone that says they bought the phone must have some inside source.
So, why this over the Voyager? I'm in the mood for a new phone and was totally set on the voyager then I started hearing about all these new phones coming out from Verizon and I'm questing my choice. But I can't find any serious discussions out there about the pros/cons/whys of most of these phones.
Any ideas? or links to phone discussion places.
Don't go Voyager... this Glyde is a LOT like it. Little smaller... but this Samsung phone only has 1 screen (touch)... which is SO MUCH better then the inside clam shell screen.
My shop is execting stock today, with at least the mockup. I have the enV in green, and have aleady listed it on eBay
I went to a Verizon store last night trying to see and ask which is better Voyager or Glyde. The sales man said "we actually do have the Glyde". They brought it out and and let me take a look at it. It is nice but I think people might be expecting more. It is more expensive in the stores. It was priced at $349 and had a $50 rebate (before NE2). So yes they are out there if you are willing to find the right sales person to sell it at this time. I didn't get b/c I'm still not sure which one to get. Any suggestions would be great. I'm mad b/c with the Voyager and Glyde they are making me switch my plan from America's Choice to Nationwide (xtra $20 a month) I think it's a scam.
Does anybody have a simple or at least possible way to make Vcast or a music phone, like, say, the Glyde, work on a Mac OS? I saw from somewhere that you can just take the microSD, plug it into a USB connector, take from itunes (or if i would need to switch to other file, which one), put back on microSD, then put microSD into phone. Yes or NO??
I read over on howard forums that it uses OBEX so I think that means it would work with mac - right?
no...mac is strange about stuff..i will be surprised if they release an update to be compatible with this phone...the only thing that it really supports is palm os and some symbian
how can you stand windows mobile...i have a q right now and i hate it..its slow and unresponsive...some of the calls i get are sent to voicemail before i have a chance to answer...and this is an issue with a lot of other people using winmo as well..i have it counting down to the day i go to verizon for a new phone...47 days...cant wait to get rid of it
I just watched this video on youtube. It is by far the best visual info on the Glyde available. I just ordered the Curve this morning, and after watching this video, I am glad I did. I am not impressed by the Glyde. It looks too brick like. The screen isn't as big as I thought it would be. The touch screen isn't as responsive as the *cough* iPhone. I just don't think the Glyde's features are very unique compared to other available phones, and since the touch screen and thickness is average at best, I don't think this phone lives up to the hype.
