Video: AT&T launching Mobile TV May 4th, demonstrated on LG Vu
MediaFLO is about to cut loose for AT&T customers this morning and we've got video to prove it. After the break you'll find Mobile TV running on LG's new $300 (2-year, after $100 rebate) Vu, one of just two Mobile TV compatible handsets launching on AT&T May 4th -- the other being the $200 (2-year, after $100 rebate) Samsung Access. Performance looks reasonably snappy when scrolling through the channel guide although some of the exclusive PIX and CNN Mobile Live content is not yet available. S'ok, AT&T has three more days to throw the big blue switch on the broadcast TV service which includes a $15/month unlimited Mobile TV access plan. Hear that Verizon? AT&T's about to step all over your portable TV game in the US market.

Why would an educated consumer choose this over the unlimited internet, Windows mobile, and Slingbox route?
Many educated consumers have no desire to spend the money on a smart phone they don't need and the data plan charges that go with it. Slingbox currently only offers their services on limited number of smart phones.
My mother-in-law has been watching TLC on her phone for months. So whats new here? Am I missing something?
Wow, the people who buy this are going to look pretty stupid in a few months when they have to carry around one of those big converter boxes too.
;c)
LMAO! that would be really funny to see and a bit sad...
how does the vibrating feed back let you know that "the buttons are being hit correctly"? all that the vibration means is that you are touching the screen in an area that is designated as a hit box.. it could be that you are entering a 7 instead of a 4 and the vibrating wont let you know any differently.
Man, that's awesome. I was planning to get a 3G iPhone, and I still am, but this LG Vu is particularly cool. I'm a TV hog, so being able to watch TV wherever I am would be completely sweet.
