We still don't have a picture of Danger's so-called
"Gekko" and "Aspen" Sidekicks to ogle while we wait for a supposed summer release on T-Mobile, but we've got the next best thing: a screenshot pulled from a prototype. It's still not exactly clear what the relationship is between the two new codenames, but we can now say with some certainty that there'll be at least one all-new model in the mix since the rendering used on the device here doesn't look like any Sidekick currently in the stable. Hiptop3 reports that the Gekko's codename (wait, a codename for a codename?) is "Style 2," pretty much confirming that it'll replace the low-end and
recently discontinued iD. Despite the focus on keeping this one cheap, the site also says that the Gekko will sport a feature set similar to that of the
LX, so it's not clear what specs will be sacrificed to keep this one affordable. A cheap LX alternative with what appear to be changeable faceplates? Count us in.

Ah, funny. 4 pages of discussion about an iPhone fake, zero comments about a genuine Sidekick.
I just naturally assumed the new name was going to be ZunePhone.

I personally don't even know why anyone bothers to report on these stupid, finicky, awkward-to-use, MAGNET-filled phones, anyway. I can have a phone that barely fits in my pocket, doesn't have a standard number pad, AND erases my credit cards? Now that's progress! The future is here!
Aside from the actual phone, the interface looks like something I'd see on "Keepin' It Real Fake".
The reason there are 6 pages about the iPhone , and none on the sidekick... umm
The sidekick blows. I Owned, and Used, and was an evangelist about the Sidekick, the sidekick Color and the sidekick2.
I now use an iPhone. the Sidekick was poor enough as a phone that i had to carry an extra phone !
the hardware broke constantly (3 generations of Sidekick, i went thru 14 phones, NO joke.)
Tmobile was horrible to deal with , their service(the phone) was horrible, their customer service when i called about my non working sidekick was horrific.
I literally had to goto T-Mobile stores and refuse to leave until my phone worked 5 TIMES!
it made me go back to a Phone only(SLVR) cellphone until i got my iPhone.
ATT - Great coverage & acceptable customer Service.
iPhone - Rock Solid hardware, and a Phone that you can talk on !
not even including all the other features the iPhone trumps any of the sidekick models in simply Using the Freekin phone. (the real "killer app")
Ive used sidekicks since 2002 and never have an issue with the magnet erasing anything.
You people are a prime example of idiots who read articles, but never experience anything for yourself - first hand.

This looks fake...When you do a screenshot on the sidekick you gotta have the screen open...(unless there's an easier way). If im right it should say start dialing instead of flip to dial. Not sure if wrong or what but kinda sketchy.
It's a little late, but Mat's wrong. There are otherways to do screenshots on them, and they definently look like that.
Firstly, when your sidekick is closed it says flip to dial and when its open it says start dialing. Secondly, the iPhone sucks. Apple sucks. All of you fools will be running around with apple made hearing aids. Hip Top all day!!
