Vodafone releasing iPhone in Australia, Italy, India, and seven other countries

Vodafone's just got a tiny, minor, insignificant announcement to make this morning: it's signed with Apple to sell the iPhone in ten markets, including Australia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy (so much for Telecom Italia), India, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey. Expect the phone later this year -- that's all we know for now. Score one (or ten?) for Voda.[Thanks, iB3nji]
At least it's not Telstra. Despite their great mobile coverage of Australia I just can't support them by principle.
Yeah I hear you, but I must say Telstra's 3G network in Australia is pretty good, both in coverage and speed.
The above news only relates to 2G iPhone, heres hoping that apple releases the 3G iPhone to everyone and allow the user to decide which network to choose.
Today, an internet portuguese economical news website, posted that the other two portuguese carriers are still fighting for a slot to sell iPhone in Portugal.

When is it finally coming to Belgium?
I'm already waiting more then one frikkn' year!
Unfortunately, I think Belgium is one of those forgotten European countries. It also doesn't help that there is still not much competition in Belgium either.
Vodafone has done pretty well for itself. Although the costs involved are probably going to be huge.
