Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
I'm sitting here laughing at myself. Believe me, I am eating up all the iPhone picture rumors as much as the next geek, and I intend to gets me one when it drops - but I'm willing to bet that the 3G iPhone is going to be VERY similar to the first iPhone when it comes to external appearance and factors. I would prefer a silver or black backing, but do I care? No. Do I care if there's a 3rd sensor there? No, because I don't believe it will be anything remarkable for me as an end user (i.e., not a cam for video conferencing). Do I care if it's slightly bigger or slightly smaller? No, it's still going to be a decent form factor for me. So, all these pics - for me anyway - are just filler between learning about the latest SDK changes and when the hell this thing is going to finally make its way into my trembling, pathetic hands. I'm Rick James, bitch!
