O2 to announce 3G iPhone in "the coming weeks"

It's all starting to come together. After getting a general ballpark courtesy of AT&T store employee vacations last week, and a hint of "next month" on Monday, O2's own CEO is promising a 3G iPhone announcement in "the coming weeks." Which, let's face it, doesn't really put us any closer to pinpointing the exact date, but does make us feel a bit better about the 1000 "iPhone 3G in June or life isn't worth living anymore" t-shirts we just bought on CafePress.

Dial it down a notch Engadget. Sheesh. You know 3G speeds most of the time are about the same as EDGE anyway. Coverage strength. GPS should be cool however. If in fact it does have GPS. Prob not.

Either your delusional or you are delusional. 3G in worst condtion will be as fast if not faster than EDGE in best conditions. the only thing that will make 3G not noticably faster is the device procecor and rendering structure. given the same hardwer of the EDGE Iphone on a 3G netwrok and it will be faster sooooooo please stop talking out of you ass casue it stinks.
