Say what? The iphone is just an expensive play toy for kids that need something easy to use because they aren't intelligent enough to figure out how the hell to use a windows mobile or blackberry device. The iphone itself maybe smart, but its designed for retards. Whoops, I'm sorry. I guess I should be a little more PC. muahahaha
blackberrys and htc products are mulitfaceted in more ways than the iphone could ever be. i just think if the iphone would incorporate some things that people like/need most (expandable memory, actual qwerty, replaceable battery, better email functionality AND how about not having to jump through hoops to install a program you like onto it)....it would be a decent mobile device.
as a current winmo 6 user, i can honestly say that it sucks ass and i cannot wait to get rid of it. winmo's gui is retarded, it's slow and unreliable (yeah, i dearly love when ie and the mail app just decide to stop working and i have to reboot at least once a day). yeah, things need to not be designed to be easy to use, how else could elitists like you be able to have endless pissing contests to prove how superior you are to "retards". please. i've been working on computers since the late 70s and have heard the same bs for years. god forbid that someone should make something that the average joe off the street can just use without having a hassle.
I've been using WM 5 and 6 for the past couple of years. I have a cheap data plan and the GSM network around my neck of the woods might as well be non existent, so regrettably, the iPhone is not an option. WM sucks big time. Even at 6.1 it's still a total POS in terms of user interface and incredibly flaky. Not long after the last holiday season a consumer publication mentioned that PDA phones were the most returned Xmas gifts as they were judged too complicated to use. Small wonder. Microsoft says you can do a lot more with Windows Mobile. Indeed. A lot more soft resetting, hard resetting, swearing, cursing... Just try to watch Youtube on WM. Count them: 74 pages of technical discussions from this site alone: http://discussion.wmexperts.com/showthread.php?t=148801
