Nokia E66 and E71 getting dressed backstage for grand entrance
We'd always prefer an actual announcement to a mere teaser, and in the case of the E66 and E71, we've seen these things exposed so many times in so many ways now that we're actually starting to think that we might know more about the business-class hotties than Nokia itself. Here's the latest scoop: Mobile Phone Helpdesk has gone ahead and locked down press shots of both devices, adding a little more glitz and glamor to the pair than the typical prerelease in-the-wild shots afford. We're seriously not sure what Nokia's waiting for here, but we think it'd be well served to push 'em out ahead of the Touch Diamond and 3G iPhone rushes.

how'z about pushin out that n95-3 update a little early too...
i can finally upgrade my e61... hoorah
Technically TIM already "officially" announced them at http://www.xt-telecom.it/

NIce find.
No matter when this year the E71 comes out, that's the phone I'm going to be after. (the version for T-mobile USA). Though, the sooner it's out, the less likely I'll waste money on an E62 as an interim phone.
But that's the good thing about these phones, they won't be carrier-specific or locked.
Carlo2: that's not exactly true. There will be 3 versions of the E71:
1) for the Euro-Asian WCDMA band (2100MHz, I think?)
2) for the AT&T WCDMA band (1900MHz?)
3) for the T-Mobile-USA WCDMA band (1700MHz)
So while it wont be locked nor branded to any carrier, and you could technically use any one of the phones with GSM carrier (I believe they're all quad-band GSM, just not tri-band WCDMA) ... they are affectively tied to a given carrier for WCDMA/UMTS/HSPA use.
(though, the AT&T one I think is also usable with a carrier in Canada)
Roger's subsidiary, Fido is getting the e71 in the 3rd quarter. It's already began testing at our head office and is expected to release sometime in September. No word yet if Rogers is getting it as well, but my assumption is that it would.
