Either Apple's getting leakier or the fakers are getting fake...ier, but the latest round of supposed 3G iPhone pictures is upon us courtesy of Dutch site iPhoneclub.nl and our old friend Mr. Blurrycam, and they're pretty convincing. You'll notice that they show a device almost identical to the one in the
last set of images we saw, with a white back and three dots inside the earpiece. Of course, that's not to say some aspiring Photoshoppers haven't just been copying each other, but we're not here to kill your dreams, people. You'll just have to trust your friends for that. Is it just me, or does this thing seem to be missing, oh... a screen? It looks like it's just a white-backed case meant to be snapped around a regular iPhone.
Or a custom case that you put iPhone innards in.
Chalk this up to the "insanely skeptical" category.
So somebody painted the back of their iphone white, awesome.
if this is real, why does apple think that people want a shiny/glossy iphone so bad. every person i know has a case on their iphone because the current one is so susceptible to scratches. so instead of fixing that issue, they're gonna make it worse? and seriously, white?
this is totally a fake. look at the detail of the blue mesh behind and then you'll notice that the white is very hazy on the iphone and there is a very hazy border around it. the haze on it doesn't match the rest of the photo. it also wasn't because of a flash because you can tell from the first picture that the room is very well lit.
so i call PHOTOSHOP!!!

this is definitely fake. if apple wanted to try to hide the front camera they could do a better job than this. i dont think their even gonna try to hide if we get one. if we cant see the camera, or barely see it, then it cant see us.
ITS UGLY.. i don't like it i hope this is not it.. cause its mad ugly and i rather see the metallic finish like the iphone i currently own. maybe if they have different colors that would change my mind.. but white.. i don't like it.

i disagree. it looks to me that it is the the outter shell of the device not the whole thing. if you look closely enough at the last image you will see what im talking about.
It doesn't matter if it's fake or not... we'll find out for sure in two weeks.

One thing I trust from Apple is that there devices always look better than their respective predecessors. This just doesn't.
The thing that makes me most skeptical is the number of leaks. I know it's the most anticipated device in, like, ever, it seems, but for exactly that reason I wouldn't expect Apple to be sending out mock-ups to every accessory manufacturer. And if they were real, wouldn't their lawyers be on it right away to get the pics removed? AFAIK that hasn't been happening with any of these leaks. Or maybe they've changed their strategy and now they don't want to do that because it's essentially confirming that the pics are real.
I really don't care what it looks like. I want one, and I want it now! But I must disagree that all Apple products have improved on their appearance over time. I thought the 4G iPod was a major step back. It was much more usable than the 3G, but the design was not as attractive IMO.
