My best guess is that the Dare will cost about $100 more out the door than the 3G iPhone...
HOWEVER... the Dare will have a few key advantaged over said iPhone such as no required data plan, and for those who want a data plan it will be covered by the $15 a month V-Cast unlimited data pack.
I still haven't heard official word on whether AT&T's required $30 data plan will include texting or not but assuming it doesn't then VZW will have a serious advantage. For $30 at AT&T you can get unlimited data on your 3G iPhone, or for an extra $5 more at VZW you can get unlimited data AND unlimited messaging (SMS, MMS, IM) on your fancy new Dare or Voyager or Glyde.
You're kidding right? You're not really comparing a smartphone data plan to a standard POS phone data plan? What? You don't think ATT's standard data plans aren't ALSO 15/month. Puhh-leazzze
Not kidding at all. This iPhone is no more a smartphone than the Dare is. Paying twice as much for data is definitely a drawback for this new iPhone and a huge advantage for the Dare.
I hate to break your heart, but the Dare doesn't have a smartphone OS. Which means it's not a smartphone. As of the 2.0 firmware, the iPhone will be a full fledged smartphone (I mean as if it wasn't just as good as WinMo or Palm before but now with installable apps and 3G it will definitely be).
Don't lie, you know your WinMo phones also cost upwards of 40 dollars just for the data plan.
I would go to both sites and [rice each phone. I already went to ATT and got the full price for unlimited everything with GPS service. The final cost is $160.00. Without GPS its $150.00.
Verizon with unlimited everything plus v cast pack and v nav (GPS) cost is $140.00.
To me Verizon is a better network and it looks like the better deal. To be honest thou if Apple made the iphone for any network... i would buy if over the dare. And connect it to the verizon network.

Very interesting. How can you get unlimited text for an 5$ more?
$20 unl texting + $15 vcast unl data = $35, which is only $5 more that AT&T's $30 unl data only for the new 3G iPhone.
or you could get the unlimited email and navigator plan for $5 more than that. base + $20 for unl txt. +$20 for unl data, nav, mobile email.
