BlackBerry Javelin struts its stuff on video
Not convinced that you can eschew the Bold's 3G in favor of an ever-so-slightly (and arguably) hotter shell? If the mid-2009 rumored launch date is right, you've got many, many months to think it over, but in the meantime we thought we'd throw out a little more food for thought. Follow the break for a whirlwind tour of an early Javelin prototype -- and rest easy, there aren't any Burberry faceplates to contend with this time around.

Why that was a waste of time.
The QWERTY keyboard looks a lot better on this one. The keys are separated. The phone looks big though.
This is definately a sweeeeeet CURVE replacement!!!! I might def consider it!! As long as it has everything else I can deal without the 3G, I mean it's a sweeter form factor thean the BOLD!!
If this comes to verizon soon (yeah I know, mid 2009 they said). Maybe the BB Niagara is the same form factor just CDMA? Screw the BB thunder, I want this. Now.
Interested in seeing a screen capture or video of the browser. So far nobody has been able to convince me that the browser is going to be improved over earlier versions of the Blackberry.
BB browsers are the worst... everyone just gets along downloading Opera Mini.
this is definitely at the top of the sexy list as far as the Bold, Thunder, and This go.
If this thing had 3G id be all over it... wouldn't hurt if it came to Verizon either!
seconded.
Too bad this huge magnificent screen won't be used for 3G web browsing.
@wayne, if multipe carrier/RIM sheets detailing the browser changes doesn't convince you the browser is being updated I'm not sure what will.
Looks like a Curve replacement.......very nice. No 3G stinks though! Something is seeming a little fishy about the mid 2009 release......
reminds me somehow to my oldschool Nokia E61 and my dads E61i...
Wow! Who cares about the javelin and the bold! show us the phone that has touch screen and how the UI will be for that phone!
WOW! RIMM=Screwed. They are leaking phones (mostly lame ones) almost every day to keep their faithful on board while the iPhone hype machine goes into overdrive.
I think it's too late for me. I think I may have to go to the dark side and leave Verizon for an iPhone and ATT. I'm sick of waiting forever for good phones and I've had enough with Verizon's UI and them locking down phones. I have till August to decide though.
