The issue is, will garmin have an SDK and will they allow applciations to be put on the device? Will they create more?

Becomiong a phone manufacture is more than just putting a cool product to market - they really need work out how its future is going to be handled. I hope Garmin does it right.

And I do not own, nor do I plan to own any version of the iPhone.

And it appears to me to be nothing more than a rendered image. With a few hours and enough reference material I could produce just as nice an image.
