Inventory paperwork coming out of Sprint suggests that the launch date for the
Treo 800w has actually moved
up about a week from the last rumor, pegging general availability of the latest Palm kit for July 13. That will likely beat
Verizon's launch -- just as Sprint did with the
Centro -- and position it for the rather unenviable task of trying to score some modicum of fanfare in the midst of Apple's July 11
iPhone 3G onslaught. It's hard to argue that these two are competing for the same target audience, but even so, it seems like there's a healthy buffer around the 11th that most carriers are going to want to avoid for launching important devices (as any Treo inevitably is, no matter how lukewarm the styling may be).
Also notable on the inventory sheet is a mention of a red
BlackBerry Curve launching on the same day, giving chronic emailers an option that's just a little more playful than the titanium trim
currently available. Two devices from legendary lineages renowned for the quality of their keyboards launching on the same carrier on the same day? Yeah, no complaints here.

Who cares, it is not the iPhone.
Fuzion Fuzo Fan club!
Where is my Touch ROM update???
What does that have to do with new inventory releases?
They lied to customers and are doing everything but doing what they promised.
Nothing to write home about. The treo 800w should have been released a year ago.

Why do you continue to sign your comments? Your name is already at the top. It's odd.
I was hoping to see the new HTC's on there :(
Touche James. I really hope this is true, because WM Experts said that the Samsung i788 is expected on AT&T, and if they're right about this release date, then I hope they are right about the BJ3.
Off topic, I know....
.... and the Universe yawned ....
BTW, their churn rate of 2.45 percent is the highest of any carrier.
Do you some reading Bob: http://news.search.yahoo.com/search/news;_ylt=A9j8eu4k7mBI0lAB2hXQtDMD;_ylu=X3oDMTBhNjRqazhxBHNlYwNzZWFyY2g-?p=sprint+defections&c=&ei=UTF-8&fr=&x=wrt
After the customer service I received the last few phone calls to Sprint, I am done. Waiting for the Bold to come out now.
Besides, these phones won't save a company that lost around 1.8 Million subscribers in the 1st quarter of this year.
Buh,Bye Sprint. See ya when Verizon buys you out!
JESUS CHRIST SHUT UP
What the hell does this have to do with the inventory schedule? The topic had NOTHING to do with customer service. There always has to be someone to post some random comment regarding customer service on any topic that has any slightest relation to Sprint.
Yeah, everyone knows Sprint's customer service hasn't been the best and they've lost customers. But, I've seen changes in their service level, and if you paid attention to the Q1 numbers, they've seen a turnaround in customer defections.
GET OVER IT.
If you've actually read anything to do with Sprint, they have lost more customers than any other carrier. And in forums, we have a right to voice our opinion's, relevant or not.
In addition, I was referring to an assistant of the CEO, Mr. Hesse - which treated me like crap. If you get a problem escalated to the top and the CEO’s assistant doesn’t rectify your issue and is condescending towards you, then the company has some serious problems.
I was a Sprint fanboy for a while pushing their network speeds but not anymore. When the Bold comes out, I'm out.
You really think your customer service issue was escalated to an assistant to Hesse? That's funny.
Oh Sprint, why so many Rev A phones with so little Rev A coverage? (Waiting 2 years now for EVDO)
I get 1 evdo bar I guess thats better than you the rest of the house I roam.
I wanted the Treo but $600??? No thanks
