T-Mobile announcing Motorola E8 tomorrow?
We know that T-Mobile has signed on to pick up the MOTOROKR E8, and last we'd heard it might be dropping some time between... oh, now and August. MobileBurn is now reporting that the music-friendly candybar is slated for announcement tomorrow, though it's not clear whether it'd be available immediately or they're just planning on getting customers hot and bothered for a release down the road. The lack of 3G still isn't much of an issue on T-Mobile's network, and we were pretty impressed with the device in our hands-on testing, so this'll be a solid addition. It's entirely possible (and far too common) for devices like this to get delayed clear into irrelevance, so let's hope this particular rumor holds up.

i've heard a release date of July 7. According to this link

more specs on the T-Mobile site if anybody has missed out.

This phone looks like an upgraded version of the old Slvr.
Looks good but 199 for this vs. 199 for the iphone.. No comparison!!
$199? This must be one of those marketing ploys where they set the price artificially high, so that when they announce it at $99, or lower it soon after launch, people think they're getting a deal.
Or maybe TMobile's buyers are completely stupid, and pay way too much for low and mid level phones.
Something tells me that there is a camp over at TMo that wants to get some higher end gear going on, by the suits up top think that something like this is a "toe in the water" to see if they'll sell new business. Certainly a half-assed approach that is doomed to be a self-fulfilling prophecy and a failed result.
Wow, can ANYONE say OVER-PRICED and over-rated?! Wow, a handset with state of the art 2006 technology...When they fucking ANNOUNCED this phone.
I just left T-Mobile and was a high ARPU customer as well, Average bill before tax was almost $91.00. These assholes have ZERO clue how to run a retail orginization let alone a 3G network. I live in Los Angeles, near LAX airport in a small suburb near the beach. Youd think SOMEBODY would know whats up with 3G.... (sigh)
