Sony Ericsson W580i for AT&T, now with more red
Come on, now, Sony Ericsson, you know what happens when you make too many colors of the same damn phone. The W580i was a serviceable midrange Walkman handset in its heyday, but without 3G, it's pretty hard to justify the $99 after contract and rebate that AT&T is asking for the thing in its latest shade -- a nice, shiny red. Ironically, the 3G-equipped Z750a is a solid $50 less, so yeah, we're really not seeing where AT&T is going with this. To be fair, $99 is the same price being asked for every color of the W580i (and there are many at this point), but shouldn't they be using this golden opportunity to lower prices across the board to somewhere within the realm of reason and logic?

The phone is free with new contract or upgrade at Best Buy Mobile, so it's a good buy in that sence.
Ya, ALL the colors are definitely free, no matter what type of 2-year contract you sign up for, 2 year new, upgrade, add a line, all that stuff !
w760? Anyone? Sony? 580 is showing its age a bit now and dangling the 760 for a while. I wasn't holding out on getting a walkman phone because it's red or bust I'm holding out because I want current technology.
The red one, just like all the other colors are $49.99 after 50 dollar mail in rebate
I lusted after this phone for a while, but after having played with one at a Sony Style store a while back, I'm very glad I didn't buy one. I bought toys with my own allowance that felt nicer than that!
i got this phone when it first came out.. last september. bought it direct from sony. good phone, but really.. the colours are done. new phone time, not new colour time. fix the keypad. next!
The 580i is free at RadioShack. Almost all AT&T phones are considerably cheaper at RadioShack and don't include mail-in rebates or anything.
Yet another POS phone with a new color. Sure the iPhone's coming.
Where's the SE W760, Moto W760R, Nokia N95 NAM. I'd take those in red.....
There's some promo codes out there which will give you $100 off a phone online at at&t's website, rendering this baby free with new contract.
okay maybe i'm wrong
but this phone is not even a year old...
