Of 40 Palm Pre users polled in August, 2009, 87 percent termed themselves "satisfied," with 45 percent saying they were "very satisfied."

I am no designer yet shit like that would bug me too. Fortunately, this does not apply to the S60 phones. I like the font and feel it suits both the O/S look and feel and the phone design. Then again, I'm totally biased. ;-)
