I've been looking at the Samsung Omnia for about 2 months and was able to confirm with an AT&T rep at last week that they were in fact getting this phone. It will be released in September, only because the iPhone is dropping in 2 weeks. It will come in two flavors: 8gb and 16gb. It has GPS, 5mp camera, Samsung's TouchWiz interface. Retail, it's about $800 but with a 2 year contract, it'd be around $500-$600 but the person I spoke said it may be even less because Americans are not used to paying so much for a phone. I hope this helps anyone interested in this phone.
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.

David don't freak out, you are not replying to yourself. I am another David.
It's been rumored that the US/at&t version would be stripped of WiFi, GPS and 3G.

Did your contact comment on this? I hope it's just an ugly rumor.
