I purely think its a marketing strategy from AT&T. They don't want anything to soak up the iPhone's glory yet(if ever) right away, so they probably made up some bogus Bold defect.
We'll see, if Rogers gets the Bold before AT&T(seeing that the BB Bold has 'problems), then we will know for sure whats up.
