As for the Moto- this is a nice looking phone. I do strongly agree with your overall point though, that other factors are more important than Mp in determining quality in photos; esp. the lens.

Ken Rockwell's site does a good job of explaining why megapixel counts don't matter as much as the marketing departments of camera/phone makers would have you believe:
