Palm's MyPalm beta euthanized, joins Foleo in hell
After a rather protracted beta period that ran well over a year, Palm has opted to kill its MyPalm portal rather than seeing it through to a final release. Though Palm doesn't really give a hard and fast reason for the move (seriously, read their FAQ -- the answer to "Why is the MyPalm Beta ending?" actually made us dumber), it's safe to say that most Treo users weren't getting their essential support and accessory information from the service. It looks like Palm has a plan in place to transition most of MyPalm's features out to other areas of their site, so we wouldn't sweat it too much.[Via Palm Infocenter]

Another nail in Palm's coffin!!!
I signed up for this but it just didn't have anything useful. It's not someplace you'd visit regularly, and after a few visits scattered over time, it became clear that it really had no purpose. I think it was just waiting to become a marketing platform but still trying to figure out how to sucker you into it with some loss leaders to justify its existence. "Hot new accessories!" Good riddance to dead weight. Transfer those guys to the OS department and feed them Red Bull.
Oh wow, the title unexpectedly got up and hath slain me. Ergo, I am my corpse.
Wait, so...does this mean that all Palm products just living out their irrelevant, pathetic lives until they join their brethren dancing into and out of the fires of hell?
I told you masturbation was wrong.
Lets all relax, this is not the end of Palm. Just the end to a portal (that I would guess not many people used) and I purpose they are working on a new one for next year.
yawn. Foleo at least had some promise. RIP. Customer portals need to meet web 2.0 - are you listening Blackberry, Samsung, iMate, Palm, HTC?
