I'm supposed to get excited about a spinning cylinder? Nice guys. That's defiantly almost iPhone quality. ...Keep workin' at it. ;)
Personally I don't think phones need more flash, I think they need more function. Like, why can't I send a fax as easily as a text message? Lots of places (e.g. golf courses) would allow me to schedule a t-time via fax, but not text message.
...Fax probably isn't the best example, but the idea is that I think phones should try to be more useful and less entertaining. Maybe it's just me, but I get bored of even the iPhone glitter after about two weeks.
Well, aside from the fact that your comment is almost completely off-topic... The spinning cylinder is a D3D demo designed to benchmark 3D performance. It's not supposed to impress you.
“There's a certain feeling of wading through water with this phone, as every time we went exploring the menus, we were met with a delay long enough to make us doubt our keystrokes registered.”

I am sure Windows Mobile has a program to send a fax as easily as a text message.
I think Breins comment was a joke... I HOPE it was a joke.
it wasn't a joke, and i was on topic. i know too much about 3d graphics to be wowed.
...am i the only one who noticed the shading doesn't match the light source? this is a VERY basic 3D example.
If you know so much, have you tried the app WITHOUT the drivers? Day and night, but then what do you know?
