Mostly due to the inefficiency and lack of speed comparing to the competition (Sprint/Nextel)  However with this new PTT with Rev-A both of those inadequacies will be brought right now to speed.  It may take some time for VZW to get people to believe they've done it. I love my old Casio phone and I would bet that the name Boulder has more to do with the weight of the device. The G'zOnes are noticeably heavier then any other on the market. You can literally beat the snot out of these phones. It doesn't ring as loud and and the speaker phone option is really low as well.
