"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
That's a nice concept, but LG tends to ruin nice concepts with their boring UIs and lame featuresets. These phones should have reliable, in-house developed email clients, not the piece-of-crap AT&T Java app. It's not much of a phone for the price, unless you're a slave to tv and a wealthy one at that.
That's only in America. Over in Asia these phones (this one came out as part of the Chocolate lineup two or so years ago) do lots more- it's just that AT&T/Verizon/etc cripple them when they cross the Pacific. I know that e-mail isn't a Java app on the LG phones I've seen in China.
