I'm hoping they are this lenient with their 3G devices and network. I plan to get their first (good looking) 3G smartphone they launch since they have a good network where I use them here in Los Angeles.

That means that the iPhone 3G will be compatible with T-Mobile's 3G network!!!
You will get full reception because 1700 and 2100 gets the same reception according to T-Mobile.

1) No one is licenced at 2100 in the U.S. This just means that both T-Mo 3G and iPhone will work in 2100 licenced areas (read: Europe and the rest of the 3G world).

2) Even if you put a T-Mo SIM in a 1900 3G device, the T-Mo account will not roam on AT&T 3G. At least not anytime soon.

I just joined T-Mobile here in Beverly Hills. I had AT&T, but there network was so crappy around here - lots of dropped calls (daily) and garbled conversations.

T-Mobile is like a breath of fresh air out here. CS is extremely polite and I'm saving about $ 45 per month just on my line alone. I'm also getting better voice quality and so far - no dropped calls.

T-Mobile is Jumping onto 4G as fast as the "Other" carriers since T-Mo's 3G was Built from the Ground with 4G in Mind MEANING the Groundwork for 4G is already Layed out onto the footPrint of their AWS spectrum.

So basically what that means is when the "Other" carriers "Start" to bring out Nationwide 4G in 2010, T-Mobile USA will be Starting their 4G at the same time. Obviously the Only reason T-mobile's 3G was delayed was because of waiting for the Government to Evacuate the Spectrum or else they would have been right on time with the Other Companies. Obviously they HAVE the Tech KnowHOw it was more of a Waiting Game, but I guess you had no idea! Maybe you should Research a little bit more.

In FACT T-Mobile Almost went STRAIGHT to 4G but they're smart about it and want to Fine-Tune the Spectrum up a bit before so.

But then again you're Supposedly the "EXPERT" on this info......

While Verizon and Sprint blanketed the LA area from the desert to the sea and the mountains inbetween, AT&T cherry picked spots half hazardly leaving large holes sometimes every other block.

Verizon counts the "LA Market," as everywhere South of Santa Barbara... northeast to Barstow..... east to the Morongo Valley, southeast to Palm Springs and South to Southern Orange County and west to Avalon...
