Motorola Alexander gets pictured: WinMo 6.1, NVIDIA graphics, Q4 release
Surely that "last stand" Motorola handset is still burned into your memory, right? No? Anywho, said mobile was just given a face courtesy of Boy Genius, and it's an, um, interesting face at that. We'll let you be the judge on its unsightliness (or beauty, depending on inebriation level), but aside from design, we're expecting this one to include Windows Mobile 6.1, NVIDIA graphics, a 5- to 8-megapixel camera, A-GPS and a Q4 release date. As always, we'll be keeping an ear to the ground for more.

BlackBerry Bold meets HTC Touch
This is classic Engadget thinking... hmmm its a Motorola, and right now its "cool" to bash Motorola, so lets call this thing "unsightly" even though we know very little about it.
I think its ironic that if someone like HTC came out with this phone you guys would be singing its praises and saying things like "another genius design from the folks at HTC"
I've said it before and I'll say it again... Motorola can only improve their products if YOU give them the chance. the U9, E8 & this phone are all examples of Motorla trying to turn the corner, you just won't give them a fair chance.
If i had the extra cash laying around right now I'd go out and buy a Motorola just to spite you!
Engadget, the site to visit if you love anything and everything to do with the Iphone and hate anything and everything to do with Motorola.
I actually do agree with you, but, out of curiosity, do you own a Motorola? Or six? :-)
it reminds me of the Blitz that Verizon is supposed to be coming out with soon.
It's an interesting design, certainly a new direction for MOT, but it looks unwieldy in the open position. The test, of course, will be how it actually feels in the hand.
It doesn't look half bad. If the keyboard works well then I would consider buying this one.
This kinda reminds me of a fatter cousin to the would-be Helio Ocean 2.
I kinda like it. And NVIDIA graphics, as expected, would put this one step above whats out there.
Nvidia graphics... as in the first Tegra chip? Or is Nvidia shipping other Windows Mobile friendly chips already?
@ Razor1973,
Funny you should ask, I was waiting for that question to pop up. No I don't own a Motorola. I use a Blackberry. I have used a fair share of Motorolas in my time though, and never had any issues with any of them.
If this thing is as thin as it looks, it's going to feel flimsy and cheap but if they managed to design it well it could be a cool phone
I think it has potential. I'm certainly not going to pass judgement without trying it out first. The design does look, shall we say, interesting, but I don't it's all that far fetched for a phone with those specs and a halfway decent look (and a nice keypad) to take some buyers away from other WinMo phones.
