Rogers' in-home WiFi calling service -- think T-Mobile's
HotSpot @Home but with more polar bears, poutine, and curling -- never had the most elegant name.
"Home Calling Zone" just doesn't roll off the tongue in the way that any marketing department-friendly brand should (not to suggest that "HotSpot @Home" does), and Rogers has acted swiftly to rectify its
faux pas by rebranding the service simply "Talkspot." The features and pricing remain the same, as does the two-strong lineup of the
BlackBerry Pearl and
Nokia 6086, but at least customers will now enjoy a slightly less-awkward experience trying to describe the service to their friends and family.

Polar bears? We don't have any polar bears in Canada. Maybe way up in the NWT, but there is certainly no Rogers coverage there!
P.S. No one in Canada cares about curling, just old men.
there are polar bears in manitoba
and i care about curling... all the fun of bowling on ice!... great drinking game
poutines are nice:D lol and for polar bears arent really alot in cannada ! haha canda is kinda umm hmm how do i say dis modernized! ha lmao!
and thats preety cool ha that rogers has wat tmobile has all dey need now is to bring back the sidekicks in cannada :) cause sidekicks are preety tight lol.
Cincinnati Bell Wireless has jumped on the UMA WiFi calling bandwagon too... Unfortunately they are marketing it with a commercial featuring Nick Lachey, so the service is doomed to fail...
You guys actually let people with such narrow geographical scope and nothing more than absurd stereotypical myths blog for you? Wow.
It's just their sense of humour, lighten up a bit.
