Design arcana: Motorola gives you the RAZR VE20

The reasoning behind yet another RAZR offering with yet another name -- and supposed aesthetic overhaul -- can't possibly be known by anybody but the wizards with the crayons over at Motorola. Of course, if you're into shiny silver, have chosen Sprint as your provider -- where this bad boy is bound -- and haven't ever owned a RAZR iteration, be our guest. Featuring a silver casing, 2 megapixel camera, Sprint's Mobile NFL Live application, and thoroughly dribbled with scarlet accents -- and nothing else obviously new -- it defines the industry standard rehash. No word on pricing yet, but really, can this seriously be any more expensive than $free?

I have said this and even sent an email to moto about an ideal so hear me out, instead of making the razr, rork, lazr, krzr, and more bunches of letters phones how bout this. they Revive the Star Tac and the Time Port Motorola but make them to of the line like 5 megapixl cameras, Hi Def screen and Hi Quailty outside screen, aGPS and Wifi and even Dual Mode I cant think of anything else but im just saying and old school phone with a comeplete new school make over it might save them world wide, what do you think

My god Moto! What is it going to take before you realize that no one wants another fucking RAZR? Sadly I think the only answer is Chapter 11!

seriously moto, this is like the tenth razr-esque phone i've seen in the last 3 years. time to design a new line of phones and stop "redesigning" the same product. Its like moto's engineers can't think of another design and are married to the razer.
Is sprint getting a my faves type plan? look at the screen
wow.. dude thats the same lay out that has been on sprint phones for a year now. its not a my faves thing its home tv nav email and the such. just cuz its a carousel docent mean its my faves

Alltel is picking this up too. Its called the Vegas internally now, dont know if that will be the shipping name or not. hopefully, from a sales perspective, it might finally be that motorola bridge between the v3a (crap) and the v9m (horribly overpriced.) guess we will just have to see
I work for sprint and was a 'lucky'... person to be the advocate for this phone. Its camera is nice the 256mb sd card is nice but the same crap motorola menu system causes the frequent lockup freeze issue that every razor known to man has. Yet to be seen is if it will be lucky to get dust under the screen or have terrible battery life.
No one wants Motorola phones anymore because as well all know, they are complete crap. Awful battery life, (especially after a few months of having the phone) slow lagging menus, freeze ups, and the overall unreliablity of them. I'm with the other poster on this, Chapter 11 here they come.
