Not only is good ol' US Cellular just now getting around to releasing the over year-old
HTC Touch as
its successor starts to hit the market, but it'll be doing so in a most unusual of colors: green. Oh, and it's not
wasabi green, either -- more like a calming shade of forest, hunter, or myrtle. We don't know exactly when this sucker's going to hit, but dummies (pictured) are starting to show up in stores, so we suppose it won't be long.
[Thanks, uscc agent]
Update: Okay, so apparently the launch units are actually black, but does this dummy not look totally green? Probably just as well, since we can't think of anyone who'd take a forest green Touch over a black one.
actually its black. the booklets and stuff that came in the launch kit were green. again phone black. books green.
and should be launching in the next week or so
Yeah it's defineatly black, its already in most of the stores to play with pre-launch on monday.
I heard they are coming out with the Startac's the following week...
really actually black, launch kit was green. now again black..
I left USC for ATT just over a year ago because of their abysmal handset selection. At the time i was stuck on a ragedy v710, and was dieing for something like a kickass smartphone..all they had were old crappy blackberrys :-/
You serious HTC is selling it on crappy US Cellular? WTF!? The are the red headed step-child of the cell phone market.
Is the ad implying that this phone will work under water?
OOH! lets try it out
HTC Touch Diamond going everywhere else.
I currently have US Cellular and if I wanted an HTC Touch I would have switched to Alltel months ago. I'm Just waiting for Alltel/Verizon to get the Touch Pro(Raphael) before I jump.
Nice job Engadget, USC has been selling this since Friday :P pop by a local corporate store to check it out!
