I've been a faithful Palm user since 2001's Palm IIIe, but I just can't wait months after months after months for a new Palm OS. I currently have a 755p and the contract is up in January 2009. I was hoping to get one of the new Treo's with the new Palm OS2. Guess I'm not now.

Looks like I'll be converting over to Windows Mobile 6.1. Face it - there will be no Palm OS 2.0. Next we'll hear about key people leaving, then a shake-up in the software division, some hand-wringing and gnashing of teeth, followed by the inevitable admission that it is indeed over. Special, only been out for how long - a year or two? Gather the same problem for an earlier 64 bit software version. Gather there is a workaround through bluetooth sync, if you buy a bluetooth adapter for your desktop, but gosh, it blows. I've had Palm devices for probably eight years, but this will be the last if they can't get their software act together. It is just a shame, they had such a lead with third party software, probably the main reason I continue to carry a Palm PDA along with a Blackberry. So long Palm, we'll miss you!

Mike
