Silver Motorola Q9h for AT&T, anybody? Anybody?
The secret sauce to extending any phone's shelf life by at least a few months seems to be adding a new color or two into the mix (the Curve comes immediately to mind), and smartphones are no exception to the rule. It falls short of the lime green CDMA version's sheer wackiness, but AT&T's apparently getting ready to re-launch its venerable Motorola Q9h in gray, which is kind of like the original black except... you know, lighter. Seeing how Windows Mobile 6.1 is now official on this one, it comes as no surprise that these gray ones are showing up with the update preloaded; it's always a nice touch when you don't need to christen your new purchase with a hastily-installed update, isn't it? It's unknown what we'll be charged for the pleasure of owning one of these, but we'd assume it'll fall in line with the current version at $100 after rebate.

Is that a forward facing camera I see? Nawww.. Couldn't be.. Could it? Lets see if this blog starts a calamity!
Do the words "ambient light sensor" ring any bells?
wonder if this one has wi-fi like the on bgr had a few months ago. sure hope so
in response to the 2 posts above me...no and no. i got to play with one the other day in my store and 6.1 made all the difference in the world with this phone. it actually made me consider giving up my blackberry for all of about 5 minutes, until i remembered i had no blackberry messenger lol
Honestly - is it even worth it? I had the original Motorola Q and HATED it.
Worlds better than a Q.
I had a Q9h and it wasn't bad. WiFi would have been a welcome addition, but otherwise it was pretty nice. Of course it's not up to the level of my Blackberry 8820 (and soon my Bold), but what is? Anywho, I'd consider one. And they do run Blackberry Connect.
Blackberry connect - yes
Blackberry Messenger - no
I think that the moto q is a great phone and that a new color and winmo 6.1 makes it even better
looks cool.

I had a Q.The hardware was excellent but WM6 is clunky and awkward. I replaced it with the e71. If moto wants to extend the life of the Q, they should replace WM with Symbian.
Nothing different but the color and it's pre-loaded with WM 6.1 - that's it.
No Wi-Fi, No Forward Facing Camera.
Same Q9h, Same pricing.
Nothing to look at here folks, everybody go back about your business. :)
The ATT store I work at just got the grey Q9h monday. Aside from the Windows Mobile 6.1 and the new color, the only difference I saw was that the trim around the edge is now metal. I like the WinMo 6.1 update for sure, but it is still just minor in my eyes.
