So when we first loaded this image, we immediately thought "oh, that's funny, the perspective got smushed somehow." But then we saw the perfectly-shaped Sprint logo, at which point our thoughts quickly changed to "oh, no." But oh, yes, ladies and gentlemen: this appears to be LG's
upcoming LX600 for Sprint, a bizarre little creature that flips open to reveal a 2.4-inch display and a full QWERTY keyboard (
a la Rumor) for ease of texting. Little else is known about what the hell is going on here, so it looks like we'll have to wait until closer to the phone's release, which is currently rumored to be October 16. In the mean time, does anyone out there want to fess up to this being nothing more than a disgusting Photoshop job of theirs? Please?
[Thanks, Nate C.]
Oompa loompa doompity doo...
I've got the perfect puzzle for you.
Shouldn't it be Green and Orange then???
How flippin' wide is this thing?
How flippin' wide is this thing?
Sorry about the double post. My bad.
you mean your third
test
Sprint must have held on to this one until Verizon posted the Blitz. You know, to deflect criticism.
Something tells me they won't sell many of these things. I'd still like to see the inside though.
"we immediately thought "oh, that's funny, the perspective got smushed somehow.""
Did anyone else find it odd that Engadget referred to "dimensions" as "perspective"? No? Just me then? All right.
I'm sure there will be yet another Marcus-inspired LX600depot.com shilling site where you can blow your load on all the overpriced Chinese-made plastic shite your little heart desires. ;)
BOOO!
I work for a sprint dealer. I have seen it in the flesh and it's actually pretty cool once you get over the initial strangeness for the form factor. It's going to be a huge seller because for the QWERTY and the price point. oops....I've said too much already. :)
I personally like the looks of it and hope it's a big seller. It's good for manufacturers to feel free to think outside of the box a bit.
I'm not a fan of LG phones, but this looks alright. If I wasn't in love w/ my Centro I might check it out.
My garage door opener finds the LX600 to be very attractive, especially it's wide child-birthin' hips.
Funny how their text reads "this might look like a normal clamshell".
It's gonna be funny when this thing goes on to be the best selling phone in the WORLD!!!
Remember when people made fun of the iPod Nano and said how terrible it was???!?!?!!
Ok, so that won't happen with this one. People will say it's terrible and it will stay terrible...
I retract my world statement. I wish I could have deleted it :(
The Blitz and LX600 had a baby & this came out:
http://www.engadget.com/2008/08/05/motorola-alexander-gets-pictured-winmo-6-1-nvidia-graphics-q4/
It's actually a very nice phone. 3G, Nav, Sprint TV and Radio. Nice feeling keyboard as well. The size feels about right too. It seems to be an upgrade to the Rumor but not necessarily a replacement.
I thought the same thing, "oh that's photoshopped" when I first found the image.
Nope, not a photoshop. It's actually on the LG's Reddot Awards site and it JUST HAPPENS that under description, it states "Steam Dishwasher" haha.
Here's the site::

Scroll through the Next until you see it.
Hopefully black is more attractive?

hahaha...i have read some of the funniest comments i've ever read on Engadget on this post...hilarious! That's awesome on the LG site..I mean, I'm a huge fan of LG phones (OMG VX8100) and all..but this...this can go down the toilet with my MOTOKRZR flex flashed from Sprint to Verizon.
