Same reason I'm rooting for White Spaces and same reason I actually think Xohm will be a solid competitor to LTE. The thing that sucks is that Wifi is Wifi.... it's the wireless broadband standard right now. In the next few years, it won't be that simple at a time when people will really be looking to network more than just a few laptops. Mobile phones, TV's, computers, home security systems, (your PS3/XBOX) will all be interoperable... the problem?? Too many solutions to ubiquitous, broadband speed wireless connections.

Prediction: We see a Blu-Ray/HD-DVD type battle for standardization of wireless broadband in 2010. LTE (Verizon/AT&T) or Xohm (Sprint, Comcast, Time Warner) or Wifi 2.0/"White Spaces" (Google, Dell, HP)?

The future is so confusing.
