You can of course "jump off" a dead Li-on with a 9Volt battery or similiar, and then get it to charge in the phone. We have to do this with HTC Wizards and such all the time.

Christian Walters

Comments on Treo 800w gets updated, USB and battery main beneficiaries

If you read the page it says you can trickle charge it with your USB cable if it dies all the way...

d503

Comments on Treo 800w gets updated, USB and battery main beneficiaries

Clak reborn me thinks.....

Christian Walters

Comments on Treo 800w gets updated, USB and battery main beneficiaries

im really confused. can someone explain this "can't charge a completely dead battery" thing to me? This is a BIG problem with both HTC made phones and Windows Mobile, they do not posses a strong enough charging circuit to be charged over USB. What you have to do, is either connect the phone to a wall charger that outputs at least one amp to get it to charge, or jump the battery off with another Li-On, or with a 9 volt battery to get it a tiny bit of charge, and then your phone will recognize it.

Christian Walters

Comments on Treo 800w gets updated, USB and battery main beneficiaries

Palm fell out of my graces with the 700wx and 750w. The 800w is more of the same palm bs. I switched to the iPaq 910c and I love it. It's super thin, it has wifi+hdspa+real gps+a huge lipo battery. It's also quite snappy, even before you overclock it to 620mhz. better still, hp gives you a CLEAN version of Wimo 6.1 without any of that lousy carrier branding bs. ...why would anyone buy a palm? ....I think the ipaq 910c is the current top wimo phone, but the bb Bold is the best overall smartphone. ...and of course, if you're not into typing a lot, and you don't mind crappy fake gps, poor battery life, etc. the iPhone is still king of everything else. I think it'll be on top until WiMo gets a REAL upgrade. ...2010?

Brien

Comments on Treo 800w gets updated, USB and battery main beneficiaries

Get the Palm treo for less than $150

Visit the following website and browse through.

www.danson.acnrep.com

REP ID = 01636855

For the cell phone plans and services click on "The products" and then click on " Sign up for ACN wireless" to browse through the phones and plans being offered.
