Besides, if your phone is locked to the US region and you want those updates, you can easily switch your phone's region code. There're a lot of free apps out there that allow you to do that! ;-)

I changed mine from Australia to some country in Europe... I had to install and uninstall all the dozen or so programs that Nokia thinks you want on your PC, at least ten times and now it doesnt work anymore once again.
And that's on my XP running laptop and stationary, on my vista running desktop and on my Nas too.
I cant wait for the month of october when I´ll be able to get a samsung omnia, a SE X1 experia, or htc dream, and finally erase all the dysfunctional GBs of crappy code with which nokia filled my HDs.
Shame coz the phone itself is really great.but the pc software is just too rotten.
A real dealbreaker for what I am concerned.

So far the firmware works well (Note that if you have a US n95-1 you have to change your region code to EURO1 to get this) but the rotation is a little slower than RotateMe and my boot time doesn't seem that much faster.
