Well it's probally better for them to keep high profits than go for the price war in China and India. Funny enough main reason that they are since a long time having to fight again, is Motorola who's new CEO is trying to show that Moto isn't dead by going aggressive price war against others(mainly Nokia with it's dominating position with in China).
