T-Mobile G1 gets SKU'd in three colors?
There's still seriously no telling what T-Mobile and HTC plan to call the Dream at retail -- it could still be "Dream" for all we know -- but evidence is building that "G1" might be the real deal. A purported clandestine shot (which would be utterly impossible to fake, mind you) of SKU listings for G1 retail packages has turned up, showing that T-Mobile's inaugural Android box could launch in black, white, and brown -- another rumor we'd heard before that's starting to build some steam. All indications still point to a fall launch, but we still don't have anything remotely approaching official word on a date or a price, so let's just all keep our hopes way, way up, yeah?

Oooo Brown... I can dig that as long as it looks as cool as the original brown 30 Zunes.
Sadly, the screenshots don't reveal the prices. I think it will cost something about 400 Euro in the Europe, about 300 GBP or 500 USD. With WiFi and GPS on board. Does anyone know if there will be any application locks? This is sometimes typical for mobile operators and their branded phones. I would really like to be able to load free 3rd party apps say from http://www.android-freeware.org/ or http://code.google.com/
I work at tmobile and you guys are all wrong. The phone is selling for 179.99 at full discount. if you are not eligible it will be 300.00...no application locks will not be on the phone and you will be able to download third party apps and you cannot request an unlock code for the phone. It is going to be like the sidekick with not being able to unlock the phone....The phone will also have visual voicemail and we also are not releasing the actual phone until the 22nd of october. Yes, you can order the phone for presale, the only thing is you better be sure that you want the phone because you CANNOT cancel the order. So I highly suggest most of you to actually go into the store when it comes out and use the phone for a sec because if you don't like the phone you are going to run into a lot of trouble with your account. Speculation gets annoying after a while. Unless you know exactly what is going on. It is best to not say anything at all. :)

Black looks really good...
Damn I want this phone even more now... I need to use it before jumping the gun though. I'm sure I'll be thoroughly impressed..
I went so far as to install JDK, Eclipse, and the Android SDK to emulate the OS. Its def worth it.
Is it too much to hope that the HTC SDA Kit is the Touch Pro? :)
Don't keep your hopes up the SDA was the smartphone with the music buttons and the extra extra small numric keys. It was discontinued after introduced the Dash.
It's called the G1. I went into my local T-Mo store the other day and asked the manager if he'd be getting a demo of the "HTC G1". He said no, not a working one; but he knew exactly what I was talking about.
Also, I heard either on here or HoFo that it's being announced next week with a release in mid-October.
I love the fact that for ONCE T-Mobile is getting a good kind of attention and that this phone is building up a similar anticipation to iPhone. Flush your iPhone....get G1. Go T-Mob.
Exactly... flush your iPhone... because the iPhone is such a POS compared to everything else out there available for sale right now. I'm going to buy one today using theoretical internet cash.
If anything, there is way more anticipation for this phone than the iPhone. I was walking down the street the other day and overheard all of the little old ladies talking about how cool their grandchildren's phone is, that they don't have yet.
I all seriousness, getting a G1 is almost a certainty for me, if TMob doesn't pull that rumored 3G home market only shite. I would own an iPhone right now if Apple didn't sell the US out to AT&T.
it has lots of built anticipation for people on Engadget. however, most people who don't read tech blogs probably have no idea what it is.
it was originally slated for launch in the San Fran area when 3G launches up there (home of google). I would still expect this to launch in time with the national 3G launch date of Oct 1
I've had a chance to play with the new Samsung and it's ok, just waiting for this to make its way around beta testing should be great
Thank the cell phone gods, I thought I'd be stuck with the white one... Anyone know if the rumor is true for September 17 pre-release/pre-order date for people with T-mo?
Tmo said I would have it no later than 10/22
Im sooooooooooo happy about seeing this in black i was going to be so depressed if white was the only color offered ... the great thing is i work for tmobile so as sooooooooooooooon as it come out ordering it (now i don't have to keep hearing customers coming in asking for "do your have a phone like the iphone").

Ya, you are saying right. There are three colors for G1. In fact, due to a strong mobile application like Android G1 and it accessories are in more demand. http://www.fommy.com/t-mobile-g1.htm gives more detail about accessories. Fast 3gservice, 3mp camera, android software, what else do you want from G1?
