I can see the Google shortcut key for Google Maps and suchlike, and YouTube viewing and direct upload being a popular feature (even for business users). There is apparently an interesting G705u version which is Sony Ericssons first UMA-enabled phone availble only as a UK edition.

Catesy

Comments on Sony Ericsson's hot G705 slider gets real, YouTube video uploads

It runneth the A200 feature phone OS, like the W760, C902, &c.

aaronforjesus

Comments on Sony Ericsson's hot G705 slider gets real, YouTube video uploads

I would love to see SE come up with a good device. Just because I'm tired of all the WinMo buggy smartphones. It seems like the smartphone PDA's now are WinMo or bust, if you want US 3G. I love my N95 and all but, I was hoping to see a touchscreen PDA of a different OS. This is so SE. The G700 has UIQ.

How do you release a totally different new device and not simply put US 3G bands on your present devices. Then they wonder why their market share is dismal. Their present quad band UIQ devices don't even have Edge.

Would a G700, G900, P1a, or W960 device with US 3G be too smart for them to achieve? I mean just releasing a limited quantity not letting us know the number and not inflating the price like idiots. But just taking the same devices and changing the radio and a software tweak to accomodate. Would that be like pulling teeth, a man having a baby, and/or the cart coming before the donkey? Who is running these big companies now adays?

Cingulair
