TiVo and RIM team up for BlackBerry integration, prepping Slingbox killer?
TiVo and RIM are getting all friendly on us, teaming up to build software for the BlackBerry that could strike fear in the hearts of Slingbox and Orb. Right now it's pretty innocuous, utilizing the phone to check listings and schedule recordings, but in the future the two are looking to "further simplify mobile access to video content" -- which means streaming video straight off the TiVo to a BlackBerry's ever-expanding screen, if we had to guess. Everything's pretty preliminary at the moment, the two are just announcing the partnership, and say to expect the first software from the duo later this year.

"After I rob the gas station, I can set my Tivo to record the media coverage and trail, all from the comfort of my cell on my blackberry"
Seriously, what is with the half face cover?
You must have missed the post a few days ago with the phone ninja
I think it's supposed to be a ninja mask made out of a t-shirt sleeve. Hence the whole "BREW Ninja" thing. Dude's a legend in mobile QA. Sad to see he took this route. Hope he didn't get caught. Shame to squander a job like that.
Really late to the game TiVo.
Remember TivoWebPlus that lets you mess with your Series 1|2 Tivo from a web interface including mass deleting programs, remotely scheduling recordings etc through ssh tunnel to the home network? This is almost 4 years old now!
Since you never integrated it into any of your official UIs, it's very late to the game to think about trying to integrate this to phones. Get your web interface working for desktops first, because Tivo Desktop is pure anemic.
